The Nottingham Textile Group

A fourth generation family business, NTG have recently updated their website (Click Here) and logo, to bring the brand up to date.

A company with a long history, The Nottingham Textile Group has a passion for knitted Textiles. With companies under their umbrella including: Lion Haircare Ltd, Palmhive Technical Textiles Ltd and Nottingham Textiles Ltd, the launch of the new website and logo, brings all the group companies together.

Originally A.C Gill Limited, the company was formed in 1888; it soon flourished, growing in size through both sales achievement and acquisitions.

During World War Two, all production switched to the war effort and included the making of one million small parachutes as well as mosquito nets, admiralty flags, target nets for the RAF; and in a new engineering section, bomb parts.

In 1946, expansion continued in to Nottingham’s Lace Market, with the building of another new factory along side the acquisition of other factories. In 2000, the Lace Market site was sold and all the company’s satellite sites were combined in the modern Willow Road factory. This led to huge improvements in productivity and investment, for all the divisions under the new NOTTINGHAM TEXTILE GROUP banner.

To this day, the Group continually invests in the Group companies, to ensure they have the latest technology for their diverse markets.
